Chapter 3 Question 19

Propene burns in oxygen as follow:
2C3H6 + 9O2 = 6CO2 + 6H2O
What is the volume of carbon dioxide produced at STP from a complete burning of 21 g of propene?

1 comment:

  1. 33.6 dm^3

21 g of propene will produce 0.5 mol of propene.
Then, 1.5 mol of carbon dioxide is produced.
    So, 1.5 x 22.4 dm^3 = 33.6 dm^3
